Byte Architect War Journal - November
Last week I didn’t post.
That wasn’t intentional — I’ve just been buried in code, working on Zero-the-Hero (aka ZtH or 0tH), an ambitious Mach-O static analysis tool. I simply didn’t have the time to finish the post I had in mind.
Zero the Hero
- The alpha build of 0tH2026 will be released on November 30th.
- 0tH will not be open-source, but it will be free to download and use.
- Testers are welcome! You’ll be rewarded sooner or later — either by me or by Karma.
- I’ll keep you posted about the release, download location, and so on.
- I’m also planning to open a Discord server for early adopters and testers.

I’m starting a new series here: Reversing 101.
Its goal is to guide you through the reverse-engineering process — sharing techniques, insights, and examples.
As you may have noticed, another series has branched off: the War Journal.
I find it appropriate — and frankly useful — to explain what I’m currently working on. Once a month should be enough; you really don’t want updates on how often I buy groceries or do my laundry, do you?
This website
As a companion to Reversing 101, I’m building a wiki (URL coming soon, once I tame Docusaurus) to document the AARCH64 assembly instructions used in the series.
That way, you won’t have to dig the web for them. You’re welcome.
Publishing resumes next week at the regular pace.
Until then — have fun.
Want the deep dive?
If you’re a security researcher, incident responder, or part of a defensive team and you need the full technical details (labs, YARA sketches, telemetry tricks), email me at info@bytearchitect.io or DM me on X (@reveng3_org). I review legit requests personally and will share private analysis and artefacts to verified contacts only.
Prefer privacy-first contact? Tell me in the first message and I’ll share a PGP key.
